Would you please share how you did this mod? Did you just make the grill yourself using some wire and clippers? It's great if they sound better; the i-can-do-it-myself! industrial look is an added plus.
eatkinolaI bought the wire on eBay. I removed and used the stock grills as a template and cut around them (leaving a little extra for fine adjustment) using some side-cutters. After getting them almost right I needed to trim small amounts in specific areas to get them to fit but it wasn't difficult, just a bit time consuming. Once they fit in where the originals went it was just a matter of installing the retention ring. The ring doesn't sit down as well as it did with the stock grills but it's not noticeable once they're on.
Hope this helps!
ericgphotographyYes! Wider sound stage and a little more clarity. You can demo this by just removing stock grills to check if you like it! Personally I think they sound better! 👍
Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
