The Dekoni pads have the same issue, which is unacceptable at a $60 price point. They degrade and lose shape just as fast as the Aeon stock pads. I wonder if Dan collaborated with Dekoni on the design since they're both very poor. The Dekoni pads are a straight up scam because they ask for you to pay for return shipping for a replacement. The reality is that most (all?) Aeon pads seem to have this issue. It doesn't seem to be a defect specific to some pads, it seems to be inherent in the design. Many other Drop and Aeon users report this and you can see it in the photos. For a headphone at this pricepoint it's an unacceptable design flaw. It's very likely your replacement pads will show the same issue. For this reason I don't recommend the Aeons anymore.
Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
