So I woke up this morning and the RBG leds were out. Only the pinkish colour lit up when I hit one of the keys. Unplugged it and plugged it back in, nothing. Restarted teh computer, nothing.
Did a search and found the Fn + A command would cycle through the light settings. Did that. So I now the key-lights are back on and doing the wave/cycle through RBG (which I wanted/had previously).
Now for my question:
How do I troubleshoot the trim lights around the side of the keyboard? They are still out. Is there a keyboard command to turn them back on? OR do I need to contract DROP directly?
I've had this keyboard December 2024 so well under a year.
Hi, I run into a problem that I can't type certain keys such as: A, Q, W,S, Z,X. For context, I have a Drop Alt V2, and it works perfectly. However, I was trying to change the LED pattern using the Fn key. After that, I can't type any of those keys because when I try to click on them, the LED pattern changes. Is there a way to lock the LED or exit out of the LED setting? Thank you.
Didn't Drop used to have a lot more different products? I think when it was called Massdrop, it had a lot of great EDC stuff and other awesome products. Now all I see is mechanical keyboards, switches, and keycaps for the most part. Don't get me wrong, I love keyboards. However, Drop used to be my go-to for a lot of other things as well.
Was this intentional? Or am I missing all the other products somewhere?
Thanks!
I've been thinking about artist merch recently. Like when you go to a museum and you see licensed artwork reproduced on an umbrella or something. Has DROP thought about reaching out to mural artists and contemporary illustrators about reproducing their work? Artists like Kim Jung Gi (his estate might be interested), Yuko Shimizu, Okuda, Brendan Monroe, Imagine, even a painter like Gina Magid etc.. You could reach out to one of the mural festival curators, or go to Wynwood in Miami if you aren't comfortable. The individual licensing contracts might be time consuming, but the final product would be amazing.
I think it would be a way to 1. make better desk pads 2. draw new audiences 3. cash in on those interested in the contemporary mural arts and illustration scene.
Also I don't know if anyone here has the clout, but could someone reach out to Mead and see if they can make some laptop and tablet sleeves that look like trapper keepers? Same velcro closure and 90's graphics, just...
EDIT: It's back up now.
Hello folks. I've noticed that GeekHack.org has been for at least a week: https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/geekhack.org.html. Any news or updates on why that is?
Im looking fro some MT3 Keycaps profiles and even though the ones they have right now are pretty sweet , like the LOTR ones or the orange on black, im looking for more colors that match my keyboard.
Thank you all for your attention and have a lovely day!
Does piano melody goes towards the right side of the headphone in the hd6xx?
I just received my hd6xx 2 days ago and I noticed that when I put on an piano sound track the piano sound more towards my right side, but it’s only the piano audio, vocals and other instrument seem to be normal, i don’t know if it’s because the headphone had so much details and that it supposed to be like this and I did not noticed it with my other headphones or my hd6xx is faulty.
I also noticed that the pin connector on the left side is easy to be disconnected and seem like it cant be pushed all the way in unlike the right side as shown in the images. Does this affect the audio or is it just in my head.
I have contacted support and they offer to me a new cable. Can someone please listen to a problem piano piece and see if the high notes goes towards the right side? I also flipped the headphone to make sure it’s not my ear, i also tested it with my other headphone and im getting the same affect, and im afraid it’s just placebo
vocals and other instrument is normal, just the some...
What are some 55g linear switches that sound creamy and almost clacky?
I was recently looking to find some new switch to put into the custom YUNZII AL68 build, and I really need the perfect switch, because this is going to be my daily driver. I am looking for something in the medium price range, preferably from HMX, and I need it to be creamy/clacky. I also need the actuation force to be 55-60g.
Does anyone know when and where or how I can possible get this numpad? I have all the other sets but this one isn't available anywhere. Trying to finish a Q6 Max build for my wife and I have searched high and low and nothing. No reddit forum seems to have one for sale and no website or ebay listing has one either. If anyone happens to have a set they are willing to part ways with or if Drop decides to restock this set (I have seen bunches of people in the questions section of the product ask) that would be great.
Hello!
I'm a novice when it comes to headphones, and I'm looking for a new pair for my PC setup. I live in the United States, and my budget is about 250$, though that's vague.
I don't have a ton of experience with audio equipment so I can't really point to specific preference about bass, treble, etc. That said, some deep bass is definitely appealing to do justice to fps/rts games that might feature big rumbly/boomy sfx. I also value good directionality for fps/tps and adjacent games (primarily warthunder). I won't be exclusively using these for gaming - also for music, so some versatility is welcome.
This set would be more or less exclusively for my PC setup, and I'm not worried about having to drive it on a phone or anything. Needing an amp/dac even on the pc isn't a dealbreaker, though. Between bluetooth and wired, I really don't care. I'm not that worried about audio latency with bluetooth, but I'm also not that worried about dealing with a wire.
A built in mic is a plus, but...
I'm struggling to filter all the keycaps and figure out which keycaps are capable of backlighting. I have found side-lit ones, but I'd rather have the letters on the top. Can anybody help guide me... to the.. light?
I just bought the drop akatsuki indigo keyboard and it's perfect when the LED's aren't on. I have tried everything to turn off the LEDs but I couldn't. Does the keyboard not support turning off the LED or what?
I have drop alt v1 and I replaced the aluminum case with the drop alt ceramic case, however the problem is now i cannot see the rgb even with the diffuser. I can slightly see it on the north side of the diffuser but not the sides nor the southside. Please help.
Hello, I have received my new drop keyboard I was attempting to flash it using the Drop configurator software however when I do FN Left Control Backspace and use the flash function it disconnects. No matter what other flash option I choose my keyboard stops showing up in the configurator. The only option I found I can return to is the stock option. Sorry for my confusion I have never done this before.
