Product Question
How do these do with large orchestral pieces? (Think Brahms, Mahler, Wagner.) I am coming from a Senn HD6XX and wanting something complementary for music that needs a larger soundstage. On my shortlist are: AKG 7XX (or K7-- variants like K712), AKG K612, Audio Technica ATH-R70x.

Are the Audio-Technica ATH-R70X headphones better than the ATX-AD900X?
I have gotten a little bit into audiophile stuff after watching some dankpods videos, and I want to step up my game with a better pair of open-back headphones for around 300 USD, but I do not really know what to get. I have looked at Sennheis...

Do I need to have a DAC AND an Amp, or only an Amp?
Technically speaking, you already have both right there on your phone/laptop/desktop. Those components are already built onto the circuit boards. It's important to understand the components as individuals so that you can make a better judgment call. I'll briefly try to go for cliffnotes version. A digital-to-analogue converter, shortened to DAC, is a device that can take a digital signal (think a bunch of 1s and 0s) and turn it into an...

Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X Gaming Headset
Massdrop by Sennheiser PC37X Limited Edition The Gaming Headset Slayer with Chops! __Intro__ I've been reading and writing about headphones to use for gaming for a long time, and the rule of thumb has been "Headsets are for chumps, save money and get better quality by buying audiophile music headphones, and a separate microphone." Almost every headset on the market was black with bright color accents, had short-term durability, a very colored...

Philips SHP9500 Headphones
I bought these 3 weeks ago (from somewhere else) but am returning them. The sound IS pretty incredible, however everything else is subpar. COMFORT: Some people say they're comfortable but I have issues with it. The headband is nice, but the extreme lack of clamp isn't good. The earpads, while I appreciate their large size, are just too shallow (depth) and so my ears (large size, but lay flat) rub the fabric over the driver. This does NOT...

NuForce HEM1 IEMs
Alright! The Nuforce HEM1 is now on Massdrop! There aren't many reviews online, so I hope I can give you guys some idea of how these little IEMs perform. I personally own a pair of these HEM1 IEMs for about 4 months now and they sound really good. It has a balanced sound signature that is very easy to like. It has a fast, energetic sound which is lively and engaging, which pairs very well with Phones/DACs/DAPs with a warmer sound signature...
