Will the FX Audio DAC-X6 drive the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 ohm headphones well to a good volume? Does the Drop for this include the power adapter. The description says power cord but doesn't mention the adapter so I wasn't sure. How does this item vary from the FX Audio DAC-X6 being sold on Amazon? Is this item produced by Shenzhen Audio? It seems like there are some counterfeits being sold. Thanks to all in advance for your help.

AKG M220 Semi-Open Studio Headphones
First, they're headphones, not head-sets. A DAC is a Digital Audio Converter or Digital to Analog Converter (however you want it). It takes a signal from your computer, turns it into something a speaker (or headphone driver) can understand and it makes the coil (or foil [planar]) move. An amplifier, amplifies the signal. My SMSL SD-793II has a strong enough signal out the back to run 56 ohm headphones with plenty of volume left. Unbearably...

1) Please explain why my arguments are incorrect and flawed without arbitrarily saying so. Already done that, based on my experience from the industry and assembly line withing the industry as well, and from my formal education and life-long experience. You do not want to see them nor make any effort to understand a different and well founded point of view. Your arguments are in my view incorrect since you base your reasoning on some flawed...

Amp and dac recommendation for Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm?
Hello. I'd like to know if somebody around here uses said headphones and could recommend an amp and a dac to use with it. I flirted with the idea of getting the Schiit Magni 2 Uber and Modi 2 Uber, but from reading in several forums, it seem...

Drop + HIFIMAN HE4XX Planar Magnetic Headphones
I recently purchased Beyerdynamic Custom Studios (the 80 ohm variant in their Custom series) as my first step into the audiophile headphone market. I was almost settled on getting the DT770 80 ohm when I came across the Custom Studio. I think these Beyerdynamic headphones are great. So what the heck am I doing in here? Honestly I don't want a collection of headphones. I want a durable, great sounding daily driver and the Beyerdynamic delivers....

DAC/amp guidance/recommendation
Okay I read some of your comments @AK770, and there's some info I'd like to share with you & the world: - a DAC processes a digital signal to generate an analog one, like a CD player or your PC when reading audio files. An amp takes an analog signal and amplifies it, giving it more voltage and current (power = voltage x current, basic Ohm's law). Most "decent" DACs produce a clean uncolored sound, so as long as you pick a well-known model...
