JakobiI haven't had that problem thus far, it's been a week since they arrived. I'm still burning them in at this point but I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice they sound for the price. An enjoyable first MD experience for me.
Jakobimine works just fine, sound is just as i want it :) upgraded firmware?
did the burn in but cant say it changed anything?
scanned QR code and ended up at some chinese website, anyone got a clue what it says?
Wow...a lot of comments on either extremes. This (std non lightning) is my daily driver and I love the clarity. Awesome soundstage too. I have M50X which sound less resolute compared to this. I use the AT's when I want a more laid back listen. I get more details with these. I let my coworker listen and she hated it. Said way too sibilant. Couldn't stand it for more than a few minutes. So it really just depends on what you like.
I am an owner of this. I have exchanged my unit once and both attempted to 'fry' my ears while listening ( then again , I was listening while my player unit was charging ). From its choice of material used, I have concluded that it is a great conductor of electricity and sends electrical pulses to our ears ! Believe me, it hurts !
Why on Earth would anyone want a headphone that can only ever be plugged into a crApple device? What a waste. Save your money for a DAP or a phone that has a 3.5 mm jack.
I would not recommend these to anyone, I bought them off of Amazon and they were sibilant to the point of actually being physically painful, I'm not even exaggerating. I have never returned a product to Amazon faster.
FrostyPI have been using these for several months and didn't find them siblant at all. Treble is boosted a bit but is very smooth and not harsh at all in my opinion. My main complaint with them was the somewhat muddy and bloated bass, but I still enjoy them quite a bit. You must be used to listening to very warm headphones if you found them painful to listen to. Did you check to make sure you didn't receive fakes? I remember reading quite a few reviews on Amazon complaining that they received fakes from some of the sellers on there.
