I would consider these to be on the bright/forward side of neutral. Not bad for their price, but pay a little more for some Senn xxx and you'd be happier. I bought these primarily as a closed back when I don't want people around me to hear my music. To be honest, I'll probably keep them but rarely use them. I'm still going to keep my eye out for a higher quality closed back.

Thanks for the review, helps alot. I just got the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, and they are amazing closed back. I got the 80 ohms edition so I can use an amp on them, or with out if I'm on the go and they sound really good either way.

I do not necessarily disagree with your observation. But I usually don't compare closed back with opened back. They are different designs and serve different purpose of use, like you have mentioned. So I don't see a point in whether I'd be happier when I pay more for a pair of completely different design headphones. Plus, the Sennheiser is pretty much for studio/monitor or home use. And the 1More is aiming for on the go and leisure.

If you want to use DT770 Pro on the go most of the time, you could have considered the 32 ohms version.
