I just got a pair of these during Black Friday sale. The MD price is even cheaper than BF sale. I think these are an absolute steal for $130. They sound very balance and close to neutral overall with (noticeable) elevated bass. For those who are looking for flat response may not enjoy these. I would not necessarily call these a basshead can. However, the bass is elevated just enough to sound fun rather than bassy. It packs punches and energy. Treble is clean but not as detail as some $300-$500 headphones (I mean in comparison to K712, DT1990, HD6_ _ series. I don't think it would be a fair comparison anyway, since we are speaking of a higher league of headphones.). Soundstage is good for a pair of closed back. It is not too wide, but has good height. Isolation is also pretty good. Since the earcups are more on the ear than over the ear, they offer better isolation. I believe this is also one of the biggest complains from some owners that the earcups are too small to be considered over the ear headphones. I also do wish they are truly a pair of over-ear can. However, I do not see this as a dealbreaker.
At $250 MSRP, I would be very pleased for the performance. At $130, I would be more than impressed for the quality you get with a little over a hundred! Also, the packaging is excellent! You get a pouch and also a sturdy traveling case. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a fun sounding can on the go!
