Solid Buy
Lightweight and reliably sturdy. My only complaint is getting it low requires removing the center column, which is a slight inconvenience.

Great
As my second tripod ever (first was an Amazon cheap model with video ball head). This is superb I must say, I only gave it 4 stars because the legs are somewhat hard to extend and one of them tends to get stuck since the first time I used it. It's pretty stable too if you don't use the extension column.

One of the best tripods on the market. Love that I can swap out various mounts and feet for different terrains. Mainly use the "Punks" for large format, and am consistently impressed with the weight it's able to carry. If I was to ever upgrade, I'd stay in the same family and go for the carbon. Highly recommended.

I have the Travis and it's load bearing Max is 35 lbs. I've used this for my P67, RB67 and Calumet 4x5. I'm in awe. Also still enamored with it being a modular system, love the spiked heels attachments for sand. Highly recommended.

CityPeteThanks much for that info CityPete. I’m looking at this drop for the Billy. Looks like it’s essentially a carbon fiber Travis. Might have to pull the trigger, considering that recommendation.

Love my Billy! Stable with my telephoto mounted, no down creep like my old tripod. Light weight makes it easy to take out for long hikes. Legs adjust quickly and are stable. It's like trading in a Kia for a Porsche GT3.

austin1908Nice! What length lens (to help gauge stability)?

austin1908Awesome. I thought about buying a Canon Mark5 but since you demonstrated that one can take awesome pics with this tripod, I'd rather spend $200 bucks than more. I oughta pay you a finders fee. Thanks bro.

Wish I can give zero star! Defective out of box. Ball head's ball holder is lifted from the base. Teeth that controls the locking angle is dented. The tripod could not stand level even on perfectly level ground. Contacted customer service but no one replied. Massdrop you need to refund me!!!!!!!

yctonyorcyGlad they got you sorted! Might be worth updating your review to focus on the item instead of this initial experience as it will be more helpful for folks trying to decide whether to purchase in future drops. Happy shooting!
