Anyone have examples of what this supposed "vr" compatible footage looks like? Or if there is anything else needed to enable VR capture?

notVitaliyIt just means that if you load it into a 360 photo/video viewer, you'll be able to look around the scene. There is no 3D or side-by-side depth effect etc. You can find such videos on YouTube and Facebook where you can drag the video with your mouse, pan your smartphone, or turn your head in a VR headset to look around.
