For anyone wondering how the colors for the plates would look, here are some images. Please refer to these images just for colors. The plate design is exactly as shown on the "Description" page.
The silver is plate number 2 from the top on image 1. The black color is the bottom plate on image 2.

kunalkumarI noticed that in the image 2, the edges of the plate around the left and right shifts appear to be disjointed, but the renders show otherwise.. which is the version that we will be getting?
rabidwombatKunal clearly states that those pictures are purely to show color, and are not the same plates as in the drop.

VistinationAnd he clearly edited after I posted my comment, but anyways I got the answer I needed, thanks!
rabidwombatIt said that exact thing when the drop launched. Or at least that's what I saw. Glad you got an answer anyhow haha

kunalkumarI know this has happened once before, but would MD do a mechanical keyboard DIY drop with options of plates, PCB, cases, LEDs, and other accessories as add-ons? I think it'd be great for people that wants to get into custom keyboards. While this plate is extremely cheap, I'm very hesitant to get on it since I've got to find a matching PCB and case before I even start my project.
HouseThey've done a couple of these. They're the Infinity 60% drops. Usually, they do the drop, it goes to production, eventually starts shipping, then they start a new drop. I haven't seen anything about people receiving theirs from the previous drop, so I imagine it'll be a while before they do another Infinity 60% drop. From what I hear, they're close to shipping the Infinity Ergodox, so they should be doing another drop for that in the next month or two :)
