Heads up, the case I received does not have the bottom screw holes threaded for the extra weight. I was planning on using the extra weight slot. I've reached get out to MD support to see if there are replacements with threaded holes. Hopefully is was not a botched production run and there are functional replacements!

DanielFerrerThere were not any replacements. I was offered a refund, but ended up keeping the case and permanently affixing the weight with epoxy. http://i.imgur.com/uSMExej.jpg

rpeterclarkI finally bought that extra weight from Taobao and I can say now that you need to create the threaded holes just by strenght when introducing the screws. Incredible feeling. It adds weight to an already heavy case. NOW we can defend ourselves in the night while clacking...
