How good is the dpad on this? I ask because I recently bought the 8Bitdo NES30 Pro (https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Controller-Classic-Joystick/dp/B01DM1VY6W/), and the dpad on that is NOT acceptable.
Here's a fast and easy way to check, if someone wants to do this for me: Load up Contra 3 on your favorite SNES emulator. Try playing the first level. To survive, you have to lie prone a lot. On poorly made dpads, it is easy to accidentally switch from D to DR on the dpad, causing your dude to get up and start running (with his gun pointed diagonally down). This will generally get you killed fast.
The original SNES gamepad did not have this issue, obviously. The 8BitDo NES30 Pro failed this test. Playstation gamepads pass the test. The new xbone gamepad also passes the test (about frickin time you made a useable dpad, Microsoft).
Since this is the same maker, I have to assume the worst. But if someone wants to test it out for real, I (and other people who care about having a gamepad that is actually viable for retro gaming) will be grateful.
