I placed an order for two wallets during the last drop in September. The estimated ship date was Oct 16th, but the order status says that they are "reserved for shipment".
I tried to contact the support, but haven't got any response from the support.
Does anybody have any idea what is going on for the drop?
kimwookUnsure. We shipped directly to Drop a while back. Let me check with our contact. Can you email us the order information @ info@ahleather.com? Thanks.
I bought the money clip wallet a couple years back from these guys and was really excited about it, but I have to say the quality was poor. The leather was really thin and flimsy with wrapped edges, which is a pretty big red flag for quality leather goods. The ID slot was really slim and almost impossible to get my ID out of if i needed to. And the money clip was weak, it stopped snapping back into position after about six months of use. It is also only glued in, do not only did it stop holding money, but it also fell off the wallet.
EvanjwinickHi Evan. We can’t reply to your post properly as it appears that you’re no longer here as a user, but I’ll try anyway. Thanks for your purchase. We truly do use 100% Full Grain Leather. The best for any leather product out there. The leather has to be somewhat thin, in order to produce a functioning wallet (too thick and it won’t close, etc). We believe, based on other feedback, it’s a proper thickness.
We wish we could have tried to address the money clip issue, but it appears too late....the clip is mechanical in nature and due to use, etc could fail. We do replace them at no charge if/when needed.
The actual clip is glued in place, you are correct. Not sure how else we can secure it...but open to suggestions. We rarely receive any negative feedback on the fact that it’s glued, sorry that doesn’t work in your favor here.
We do try to respond to all comments, positive and negative. I’m sorry you had a negative experience. If there is anything we can do, don’t hesitate to reach out at info@ahleather.com with your order # included.
Design looks great but Im not mad for the new trend of slim wallets with no compartment for change. I have a few slim wallets and while they carry better I just got fed up of having a pocket or car slot full of loose change. I'd only use my slims when I'm only bringing out a bank card which is rare as the I just rack up bank charges. Great looking accessories but not practical in my life.
Nugent91@Nugent91 thanks. We’ve been toying with an idea of a change compartment for a wallet. We don’t have the audience for it yet (not enough have asked in order for us to design and make a run). With as many options as we have, we have to go all in, in order to make it make it work for everyone.
thanks again for the input. We will keep it in mind.
can the clip be removed ?
i like a wallet without clasp or clips, because ultimately i want it to fit comfortably in my pocket and not rub a hole in it - and the thinner the better
XnightcrawlI believe there may be pics in the comments below, but here are the actual dims.
Money Clip Wallet: 4 3/8" x 3 1/4" x 3/8" (give or take), a little thicker because of the added “wallet” feature
money clip (standard): 4 1/4”x 3 1/4”" x 1/4" (give or take, with cards in it)
I have one of the front pocket wallets, they are slightly small for carrying more then a few bills at a time, I hope they do a tri fold option on a later drop. I also read some people got a coupon code with their purchases. sadly i did not get that either.
that's great i just bought one here and one tri fold off your website using the coupon code. thanks, P.S. I did not get a card in my first order from you.
Not much of a money clip person but I picked up their tri-fold wallet on a different drop a couple of months ago, and I'm really happy with the quality. If I used a money clip I would definitely give this a shot.
