@AHLEATHER do these all have "FULL GRAIN LEATHER" stamped on them? If so, would you guys ever consider making them without that embossing? I understand that some people make a big deal about that kind of "advertising" on their products, but I feel like it interrupts and ruins the continuous flow of the leather. If I trust the company behind the product, it doesn't matter what it says on there.
Also, is the entire product made from leather, or are the inside of the card slots lined? With some of the cheaper ones I've used in the past (usually sub-$50 range), the leather is folded over slightly into the card slots and then glued to the inside of the card slots which are lined with some synthetic fabric (to save on costs, I'm sure). Unfortunately what happens over time with cards sliding in and out all day is that the glue delaminates and the wallet starts to fall apart.
BTW, this is an amazing price point for a full-grain leather wallet. I just got a great deal on this style of wallet from Tom Ford and paid around 10x this price. Can you guys disclose which tanneries you source your leather from? Seriously considering getting a bunch of these as gifts.
DiminishedSeventh@DiminishedSeventh thanks for your inquiries. These are all stamped. We understand your points about the flow, however we find it’s an important aspect, and while some (like yourself) don’t mind, most want/need to see it. I will also double check with the factory on these if there is lining or full leather througout. I don’t recall and am on the road, currently. These are sourced from the same tanneries as some of the top “brands“ out there, so quality has never been an issue. The reason we offer what we offer is the relationship we have with the factory and the fact that we feel we want to provide a quality product at a reasonable price. No need to up the price to “just make more”. Thanks Again and hopefully you’ll be part of the drop.
AHLEATHERThanks for the prompt response! While I understand where you're coming from, and like I said I know there are a lot of people that want to see that embossing, I do hope you'll consider removing it or putting the embossing in a more inconspicuous place in the future. I agree that it is an important aspect of this product, but it should be enough that the customer knows this fact, I don't think it needs to be plastered on the side of the product. I think it's all about the understated luxury. As long as you are honest and transparent with your customers about what materials are being used, where the materials are sourced from, how the product is made, etc. they should be content in knowing they are getting a quality product at a great price regardless of what is or is not stamped onto the product. My favorite companies are ones that share pictures, videos, and stories from their production lines; to help draw the customer into the story, the craftsmanship, and the work that goes into creating their products.
Throughout my travels (especially in places like Hong Kong), I can't tell you how many times I've seen crap PU items stamped with "full grain leather". I feel that kind of "marketing" actually cheapens a brand. Anyone can put anything on any item; it doesn't make it true. There should be no question of the quality your brand offers and you should be able to stand on the name of the brand itself. Of course I'm not trying to imply anything like that is going on here, just trying to make the point that people shouldn't be so caught up on what is or is not printed/embossed on an item. I really want to love this item! Definitely looking forward to hearing back about how the inside of the card slots are constructed as I can post pics of how some of the cheaper wallets fall apart after about a year of everyday use. Still hoping to pick up a few of these!
With that, I do thank you for taking the time to respond - a lot of companies don't even do that these days.
DiminishedSeventhOur pleasure and thanks for looking. We hope you’ll be part of the drop. Happy Holidays.

AHLEATHERAny update on whether the inside is leather or liner? Thank you.
algarok@algarok sorry, we thought we responded. And it’s a bit hectic around here with the Holidays upon us. These are not fully leather line. With full grain leather, it gets tough to Leather line items as it creates a product that is too “stiff” and not very pliable to be able to be used appropriately. See picture to help.

AHLEATHERAwesome thank you for the fast response!
algarokFast this time :). Sorry about the original delay.
AHLEATHERThanks for the response. Where the leather is folded over, is it glued or stitched? I’ve just had bad luck in the past with the ones that were glued. Also, if it is glued have you had or heard of issues where the leather had delaminated from the lining due to the glue giving way? For me, that’s probably the area that gets the most wear, especially with credit cards sliding in and out all day where the raised numbers will rub against that area. Thanks again for the responses.
DiminishedSeventh@DiminishedSeventh i believe it’s stitched. I’ll check with the factory this AM.

AHLEATHERJust as a data point, I am another person who would have considered this but for the stamping. It takes all kinds, of course, but to me it cheapens things, similar to a price tag you can't remove.
j.a.lThanks. We get it. Youre damned if you do, damned if you don’t. We have had many more folks say that they prefer it than not. That’s why it’s on there. We are trying to reduce it in size. Thanks for the note. It is helpful.

AHLEATHERPerhaps consider putting the stamp up high, where the bit of the card sticking out will cover it.

AHLEATHERI realize I'm a little late to the party here, but did you find out if the leather is stitched or glued to the fabric?
planb10113@planb10113 the product is glued, only to allow for the stitching to be done so the “parts” stay together. Hope this helps.
