You might want to fix your text description for the game - Grant did not surrender at Harrisburg PA. You might want to mention instead Lee's surrender to Grant at Appomattox VA in 1865.

MiserendinoAlso, it would be great to fix the tagline "North or South: Choose Your Side" since it reeks of Confederate apologia.

johnbujalskiI was asking to have an incorrect fact changed, you are asking for a subjective change to wording based on opinion. They will probably never change either one but that really doesn't make a huge difference to me one way or the other.
The fact is the Civil War was a sectional conflict, the Northern tier of states vs the Southern tier of states. 'South' in this context immediately identifies the Confederacy to anyone with a with even a modest background in American history.

MiserendinoYou misunderstand my criticism - sure the North and South are the two sides, but taking glee in "Which Will You Choose?" as if they are both morally equivalent is disgusting. Does that make sense? "Choose Your Side" is for frivolous choices like Chocolate and Vanilla, or for two equally considerable stances on a moral conundrum. Presenting the choice as such creates the impression that both sides are equally valid. Which is, in my opinion, disgusting and reeks of Confederate apologia.
Disgusting is an opinion, sure, but slavery being wrong is also an opinion.
I agree that their text description is factually inaccurate, thank you for pointing that out.

johnbujalskiI feel like you just came here to troll... lols were had. You don't like the History Channel/Jeopardy/Wolfenstein/Risk (board game)/anything cruel in the world that ever happened and having to be reminded of it ever. We get it. Are you done yet tho?

smallbitI am simply expressing my opinions - this is not trolling or looking for lulz or whatever terrible people tell themselves when they harass people on the internet these days. I quite enjoy the History Channel when it is factually accurate, I sometimes watch Jeopardy, and Risk's presentation of war is so theoretical and detached from history that it has no bearing on any ethical issue in the real world. I do find Wolfenstein in poor taste, though you certainly can't accuse that franchise of having sympathy for Nazis!
Perhaps I have nuanced opinions which I am happy to share with people, and I am uninterested in being shut up by people who find them annoying. Especially when those people jump in on a thread which they were not previously involved in and could have easily ignored.
@Henry_L I'd like to hear your thoughts on the tagline. I understand that it is unlikely that Massdrop will change it, but I am glad I've been able to talk about it here.

johnbujalskiI was thinking about getting this game as I enjoy risk and history... So that is why I am here reading a wall of your SJWshhhhtuff :P. Contrary to popular belief the war was quite political and WAS the biggest decision in most american's lives at the time. For many it did not boil down to slavery and was a tough decision. Neighbors went to war man!
The story made most famous in this situation being Robert E. Lee who chose to go fight for his home state even though Lincoln wanted him to command the Union and he even opposed slavery believe it or not while he fought for the confederate army. I can has appreciation for the struggle that must be inherit in a civil war. A war within a country man! That would be so nuts!
If you play Risk and watch Jeopardy and don't have a problem with topics including acts of genocide within game play and Mein Kampf questions for a numerical reward but do go and pick fights online over something like this with a couple people so far... One has to question it a bit.
But what kills me... that shipping tho...

Miserendino@smallbit You are the one picking a fight with me, calling my sincere opinions (which you could have ignored) "SJWshhhhtuff" Once again, you can choose to ignore me, but you continue to try to belittle me and silence/oppose my opinions with little evidence or logical argument.
