This is a fire hazard out of the box and should not be sold anywhere or bought by anyone that is expecting a workable kit.
The electronics board connectors are not properly rated for the current.
Frequently this kit comes with screws that aren't threaded.
One of the latest batches swapped polarity on the silkscreen of the electronics board, so it will fry at your first power on. At least it's dead right away instead of catching on fire.
The belts are so bad that you can actually spend $1.50 and get better belts. That's right, the kit is so cheap that a $1.50 set of belts are an upgrade.
The frame is made of a material that is unsuitable for the temperatures and pressures it experiences in regular use.
There are some good reviews on it. Some people win the lottery and after a significant amount of tweaking (and spending a lot more money) they can get ok prints out of it. Most don't really know any better or don't care that their prints are garbage.
I don't even care that it's almost double price. Nobody is here to save money. The safety and quality here are inexcusable.
Wtf are you guys even thinking with this? This isn't hypothetical, I kinda want an answer.
m8omanWell you're actually losing money on this deal, so the "only point of contention" isn't valid. The most expensive place you can buy this is actually right here, it is literally cheaper everywhere else.

Only point of contention is I'm only here, Massdrop, to save money. ;)
