Great Factory Lube
TL;DR: If you want a competently lubed switch and don't want to futz with doing it yourself or paying someone else, these are better than most in the category. I expected these to be good, and they still exceeded my expectations. The only part of the sound that I'll bother trying to describe is that it's clean - basically no rattle, ping, or scratch - and I think they sound great. They are very smooth, especially for a stock switch. Literally the only stock linears in my collection that feel more smooth than these would be Aqua Kings (V3 R1), and I really had to cherry-pick those. Not so with the ACEs - so far I've found them to be totally consistent, not one iffy switch yet. If you've been considering Silk Blacks, Ink Blacks, the darker-stemmed Tangerines, or Momoka Frogs - these may also be worth a look. Of those, I'd say the ACEs are closest to the Frogs - but without the Frogs' signature smooth-but-kinda-firm resistance. They don't have quite the gentle, "wet" bottom-out that Frogs do, but in general they feel much more lively with the stem moving up and down a bit more swiftly. One last edge these have over the Frogs - no spring noise. Edit - you can find a sound test of these mounted in my Portico here: https://soundcloud.com/switchboxstudio/ttc-aces-portico-ifk-pbt
