Damn, I read some reviews because I didn't know anything about these headphones or the company. The reviews are all positive.
Knowing that they praised these so much while knowing they were sold 600$ makes them even more interesting here !

WalterBlackSee Tyll's review above. They're not that great a can. As a general rule never buy audiophile gear based on positive reviews:
* Unless a product is terrible, most people don't want to give negative reviews * Reviews can be shilled (i.e. in exchange for a good review, you receive the item 50% off) * Confirmation bias: it's a $599 planar magnetic, so it must be good.

rdodevI agree with you, but psycho-acoustics describes the interaction between the ear and the brain on a scientific level. What you are talking about is "confirmation bias"; in simple terms, making the facts fit a preconceived conclusion.
