Adata XPG SX950 3D MLC NAND SSD Drives

This drop is just awful. I feel truly terrible for anyone who purchases this.

Here is the real performance difference between this product and good competitors and their current prices. Keep in mind, prices on SSD's fluctuate a lot. This is currently not a good deal compared to the Samsung products. No mystery about it, it doesn't have higher endurance, and it is not faster. Adata XPG SX950 3D MLC NAND SSD at $329.99 800 TBW endurance with max read 560MB/s, write 530MB/s SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 1TB SATA III V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal SSD at $147.99 (Marked down form $169.99) 600 TBW endurance with max read of 550MB/s, write 520MB/s SAMSUNG 860 Pro Series 2.5" 1TB SATA III 3D NAND SSD at $297.95 1200 TBW endurance with max read 560MB/s, write 530MB/s It would seem that Samsung's Pro series is still king in all categories for this form factor. However, gen 3 NVMe M.2 SSD's are much faster and still cost less for 1TB than this drop. For example: SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 1TB NVMe PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal SSD at $299 600 TBW endurance with max read 3200 MB/s, write 1900 MB/s.

3D Nand MLC is common today in SSD, yes slightly less performance than MLC. Still MLC is not SLC.. IMO doesn't make sense to get one of these when you can for half the price get a WD 1TB SSD with 3 year warranty. 1.75 MTBF and 400TB write endurance.. Most common usage would mean several years past 3 year warranty and it still would work.. Nevertheless, 400 Terabyte write endurance for a storage for average user would mean 10+ years. Unless you move files all day long back and forth and delete, normal users wouldn't need more. This is not a value IMO.
