Get a good old Peugeot with steel burrs instead of ceramic. You get finer control of the grind, solid construction and no batteries to fail.

OrCohenYeah. My salt mill is a German ceramic design with a stainless center post for just that reason. It doesn’t provide the pinpoint control of the Peugeot mech but salt is corrosive to metal systems so I got the best ceramic one I could find for salt.

Well....its obviously well made and really a work of art. Beautiful. Kinda prefer the old fashioned "hand" version. Less bulky and less parts to break down.
