no it isn’t, it’s more to do with making a good seal. The foam portion is not going deep enough in one’s ear canal. I can only think of the design, the silicon version which is lighter, sits tight in the canal entry making a reasonable good seal. Bottom line if you want to match the silicon seal, this replacement is not going to do it, on the contrary, it’s louder when wearing the foam. However, it’s more comfortable and they stay fixed, no play.
