Is this bag water proof? Inner layers?

AlcoolIt says "all-weather bag"(not water proof) and looking at all the pictures I could find it's not "water-proof" the standard looking zipper(unlike a dry suit zipper) being the part that is the weak spot. Bag would probably never leak in the rain but in a white water rafting trip where water could come up from below the zippers, it would likely leak. Frankly water proof stuff sacks this size cost more so that should give you an idea of it's weather resistance. I'm buying one though cause I get rained on a lot! I also like the shoulder straps it would give me two free hands when needed.

boss429I think with 500D PVC tarpaulin, the material itself is water proof. I wonder how heavy the bag is by itself?

boss429I also think this bag is pretty cool with the shoulder straps. You're right about having 2 free hands on the go. That's the reason why I'm keen on this too. And it has pretty good storage capacity as well, assuming it to be around 1kg weight if empty.
