Any views on the clotting sponge? I’ve heard they make layer wound treatment more difficult, but it’s definitely better than bleeding out...

ansonngThe sponges are not CoTCCC approved. Having trained with a number of hemostatic agents the sponge is better than nothing but only just — I’d take a compression bandage over one of these. The SWAT-T is also better than nothing, but only just. You’ll have a lot of difficulty attempting to apply one to your own arm. This kit is crap for real trauma.
