It's a good product, but the volume of the headphones is too low.

I wish it would work for longer
I thought this device will work for way longer than 4 years. Purchased on Apr 7, 2017 As for today, it occasionally restarts (as a result sound disappears for a second, and volume should be reconfigured). Also, I hear now some extra noise.

Wow, this thing worked out better than I thought it would for what I need.
It gets a little warm when it's been on for a while. Audio quality from the matching speakers is great. I had this unit set up in my living room and the tiny speakers filled the whole space with sound. The headphone output is well enough for driving HD6XX but could use more power. I'm surprised at how many features are packed into this little guy. There's no other outputs except for a sub output so you can't use this as a DAC for an external AMP but it still manages a good job on its own. Especially for the cost of what you get. Thumbs up!

Do NOT purchase this unit.
I think I’ve had it for a year... maybe. Used only a few times. Today all lights start blinking, no sound. After a few minutes it starts working again. Same experience others have had.

The TEAC AI-101DA is a great DAC/Amp. I've got it paired with my PC through an optical cable and two ELAC B6s on either side of my desk. The quality is solid and very versatile. The Bluetooth range isn't stellar compared to some standalone Bluetooth speakers, but I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

For me, this is a great DAC/Amp. I've had it for over 2 years and still love it. The build quality is great and it is very versatile. I route the audio from the PC via Digital-In for daily use, and could even transition the unit to be the receiver for a 2.1 setup HTPC when I move out. The only downside is that it is true what other reviewers say about the Bluetooth issues, particularly with range, so if that's a big thing for you, you may want to look elsewhere.

The bluetooth function has some issues after using it for a while, once it sleeps and wakes up, you gotta turn the whole device on and off before you can connect to it via Bluetooth. pretty annoying. other than that, everything works great

I am pretty happy with this DAC. I use it mostly as DAC+headphones amplifier set, when I have some music listening time. Before that it was my main soundcard, connected via USB to my PC and drove the Harman Kardon Stick. Now as amplifier it drives now my AKG Kxx or, sometimes, the Sennheiser 598. It does the job very well, IMHO, with good quality flac files (most of my music are flacs, but there are some some few mp3 also). Of course, it's very personal and individual, depending on your own music style and headphones preferences, I just saying that in my case this piece does it's job not bad at all. Will I recommend it? Yeah, definitely.

I heeded the warning of previous owners and didn't use the remote (that seemed to be the source of the weird max volume problem) and have no issues in that regard. The sound quality is great and the unit feels very solid with hard stops on all of the knobs. However the largest problem is with the sound delay over usb. It is unusable for any music creation or even some video games. The latency starts off minimal but slowly creeps up to a two second delay. I do not regret the purchase though, it is extremely versatile for any use I need and even if I upgrade it will find use somewhere.
