Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Received the same e-mail (as below from dasrootin) from Massdrop Support Center on 6 June, i.e. 3 days ago. Since then, there has been no-update nor any e-mail in my Inbox. Instead I received another e-mail from the Support Center of Massdrop to evaluate the e-mail below - whether it addressed the concern around shipment.
I want to ask one thing...is this business-as-usual at Massdrop with the shipment or I just got very, very lucky?
Thanks for your note. I may have one more update because I complained about the generic response instead of really letting us know where the discussion is with the vendor. This is what I have been told: The vendor does not have all the units you and other members bought through Massdrop. Therefore, the Logistics Team is working on an alternative source to acquire the missing TEACs. To this end, I am sure Massdrop will be happier if some of us actually ask for refund, which they are very willing to do, as you wrote.
