Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Compared with the FiiO e10K that I got, there is like, much more light in the rather much bigger room all of a sudden :). Everything is clearer and especially you sense that once you start playing good files, though there is a big difference in li'l' dirty mp3's too. So, I really like it, for the sound, as it makes anything else sound like garbage and makes even the humble AKG 240 mk2 sound amazing. It puts bass back to them, it makes their sound stage incredibly wide and everything sounds like in it's place, not all at once or randomly spread anymore. I use it with dt 990's, 770's, akg 240 and an yamaha hph200 sometimes and it makes them sound much better and precise. So, I can only wonder for now what it does to some higher end things, though I can only tell you that when I will get the akg 712 pro's, which should be better than what I got.
The difference between x1s and the e10k or other lower ends is that those, won't scale up, properly with your headphones or your music files. The difference dramatically increase between them, when you start feeding the higher quality music to them... then the e10k stops at some point, while the x1s start revealing more and more like you wonder if there is much more left aside. Interesting stuff.
I also, feed the x1s, with output from e10k dac and... the quality is clearly higher than out of the e10k's amp exit, it's lower than the x1s alone. Sound stage is smaller and separation is not that good, so x1s, seems to be really well put together.
The only downside for me is the lack of more numbs and buttons on it lol. But that's not a big issue, If i had buttons then I'd wanted something with less and so on, probably. We're weird. X1s is really good. Now I start wondering how would it look with an x7s on top of it :))
