This was my first amp I used for headphones back when the X00's were my only cans. I can confirm that the sound sync issue that everyone else has does in-fact exist. I get this with both USB and Optical. What's weird is if I closed a browser and open it again everything is synced fine. I eventually got the ZMF Eikon's to replace the X00's and felt that this amp wasn't really doing it justice, so I got the Audio-GD NFB11.28 and couldn't have been happier. Then just recently my NFB had to be sent back for repairs. I've had to go back to this amp, and while the sound sync issue is still present there is also a few other things that have started happening.
  1. While increasing the volume (or decreasing, for that matter) the volume will randomly jump around and at times go so loud that i've had to resort to changing the volume away from my ears.
  2. When listening to music the volume will increase and decrease by itself. I've heard this can be from loose cables, but all the cables are firmly secure.
  3. Listening to anything loud - highs in particular - will cause a very persistent and constant crackle sound. Again, I checked all cables and everything is in firmly.
I can't really say that I got unlucky with my unit because all these things have been mentioned by others before. It really disappoints me to say, but I can't wait to get my NFB back so I can throw this thing away for good.
