This is probably the best shipping time ever. Product clearly comes from overseas... So massdrop hq being located in California is meaningless.
These headphones are absolutely amazing. I own the q701 and recently got the k553. The most immediate comparison to those 2 is the extra bass in these k181's and the small soundstage. These have become my permanent portable cans. I needed a closed back since the koss ksc75 allowed too much noise in. I run them off a jds labs cmyobb, and they're just amazing. I hear crazy additional detail in the mids, highs are excellent and the low end makes for a totally powerful experience. To me these are a portable version of the k553, with added bass and a squashed soundstage. Not squashed in a bad way though. More like the music is in your face... Or ear. Lol. Amazing detail, tight punchy bass. The bass boost is unnecessary for me... But literally sounds like subs in your ears when turned on. I have a small head and clamping hasn't bothered me so far...
I love these headphones, was an absolute steal at this price.
