I was trying to find a comparison between this and the M50x, but didn't find any results on google. I'm surprised. I thought the two headphones were rather similar, except for the msrp.
Sigh, I keep telling myself that I have enough headphones, but this price is rather tempting...
That's what I'm trying to figure out. I want to guess they would sound similar to the m50 at the neutral setting on the k267, the other 2 settings would probably make it more colored with bass, kind of like the Beyerdynamic COP
I feel the same way... I've bought 3 headphones in the past month and as much as I'm skeptical on the build quality, the price is hard to pass up.
You'll probably have a hard time finding a direct comparison because they're ~$100 apart at market price.
Glad to give you some thoughts if you're curious though.
If you have experience with both headphones, I would love to hear your thoughts on them.
I've read the innerfidelity review on the k267 and looked at the datasheet measurements between the m50x and k267. I have a vague idea of what the k267 might be like, so having someone else's notes to compare to would be helpful.
I'll do a bit of A/Bing later but here's the short version from memory
K267 (on "Stage" setting) - more resolving, more satisfying bass, more comfortable on my head
M50x - Warmer mids, more present in the mid to highs, worse materials (all plastic vs the K267's plastic and metal), fewer points of failure in the build
Funny that people think the build quality on the K267 is bad, I think it's less about the build and more the design that puts strain on particular areas. You can fold the headband on the K267 almost in half, an M50x would have snapped by that point.
there's metal in the m50x...
