Buyer beware! These headphones sound great but are extremely fragile. It's not a matter of if these will break but when they will break. They have a design flaw right where the headband meets the hinge (at the AKG logo).

Save your money people. These cans are not worth the hassle.

same thing is mentioned on Amazon reviews so it appears to be true across the board.

Intending for it to become my daily headphone; I notice the same, I bought this pair for a couple months back and notices the hinge was a little flimsy. Sounded great and looks great but just handle it with care is my suggestion. Never broke it yet but never took it outside since it arrival.

You realize that the headphones you sent pictures of are not the ones in this drop right? This drop is for the K267 not the K167.
On the 267 the parts you're showing broken are made of cast aluminum and much more sturdy. On the 267 the headband above the hinge is what was breaking on early models. This design flaw was resolved (as can be seen from the "bump" discussion going on in this drop's commentary) but too late for these cans not to live on in infamy forevermore.
I bought some last drop and just got them today. Sound is incredible for $130. I'm not planning on haphazardly tossing them into my backpack and I'm not afraid to re-mount the important parts in a new headset if needed so I'm less concerned about the durability though.
