Holy crap, the creativity. You can braid your ridiculously long headphone cable to deal with it a little easier. I guess it's nice if you don't want to deal with a loop while listening on the go, I guess.
Here's an example of a tightly braided cord-- it's very visually appealing.

ValseanI wouldn't recommend this. I'd suggest a studio over/under roll small enough to fit in your pocket wrapped with a bit of velcro--or a cable mod. Braiding cables causes undue strain, and can really mess stuff up if they sit too long, or if, conversely, they are frequently being unbraided/rebraided. (There's also some theories and hand-waving on the effect on the signal itself. I don't think it would matter here, but it makes a slight difference running data.) Also, when people do this to store mic cables at my work or church, I threaten to arrange a visit between their fingers and a band saw. ;D
