Worst service - I had my package stolen off my porch because #assdrop did not send it with a signature requirement. They initially sent it DHL, but then it was handed off to USPS (why? if it is a domestics shipment) without any indication of not having a signature requirement. I then checked while at work (because I like to rest of the world work during the day) that it was delivered. Apparently #assdrop thinks everyone lives in Pleasantville, where there headquartered, and there isn't any crime in big cities.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY WOULD SELL EXPENSIVE ITEMS ON THEIR SITE WITHOUT ANY SAFE AND SECURE SHIPPING.
This is basically an a-typical Bay Area web startup that has no idea how to run a traditional retail business. I'll never shop here again and will promote people away from shopping here. Yes, they did not steal the package, but like I said, what place sells expensive stuff like this and does not provide any safe shipping. What a joke

Amazon does not require a signature on items shipped as well. They are a sizeable business, and about as traditional as online retailing gets in this day and age. DHL lists USPS as a handoff, and provides an active link to check on shipping updates, in concert with DHL updates themselves.
It is important when ordering from any online retailer, or anyone who is shipping to your place of residence, to gauge how safe your neighborhood is, and how prone to package lift. This is a phenomenon that is pervasive in urban environments, and so while it is not possible to schedule a MD drop (or Amazon for that matter), it is necessary to calculate risk and order accordingly.
That being said, I know how it feels to have your stuff stolen, and so I sympathize with you. It sucks. Perhaps getting a po box with a physical address would alleviate this problem for you in the future.

It's your fault man! You need to specify that you want a signature requirement when you're checking out! :/

If signature requirement is an option during the checkout and yes, definitely. Another option is to re-route the delivery to the shipping courier's local office and have them hold the package for you. I have done that with UPS and FedEx and it has worked well for me.

You're right. I'm sorry for the rant. I was very upset because this has never happened to me before.
I OWE AN APOLOGY TO MASSDROP AND ANYONE WHO HAD TO READ MY PREVIOUS POST.
The crime is getting worse in my area. I did not notice that there was a signature requirement option, so that is my bad. I should know better to look before I leaked.
It's just getting me to think that everything is quickly being sold online now and I'm not sure if this always a good thing. But that is another discussion, for another time. I just want to own up to my mistake and not drag Massdrop down. Thanks to the people that were more courteous than they had to be when replying.
Now, I'm on the hunt again for some good close back headphones, and any recommendations are appreciated.

If I were you, I would hop on and get the Fostex T40rp Mark 3 as those are planar drivers with closed back. Best headphones in that price range. Plus, Fostex is having a $50 rebate promotion right now till July 30 on all their Mark 3 line up.

That's good advice for revive, but I have to ask: are you're particularly fond of thirteenths?
