The only real question I would have is are they going to be manufactured in Austria or elsewhere?

No, AKG moved some of their production to China/PRC. I know the K712's and other lines were manufactured there. Supposedly there are Q701's made in Austria and Q701's made in PRC, but the PRC ones are a later run. Some people say that there is a quality difference while others say there isn't. One of the biggest gripes people had was that if you compared several pairs of the Q701's they sounded different.
