So how do we check our position? Also, if anyone can help me out in feeling better about purchasing these, as opposed to having gone with the Sennheiser HD650's. I'm new to being an "audiophile", and would like to get some input, thanks in advance.

PixelHD 650's are twice the price of these, sometimes you can find them as low as ~$320 new. You would be much better off buying these and using the money you saved to purchase a low end amp and dac. Different headphones have different characteristics that only you can really decide if you actually like or not. I cannot give you specifics about how these sound as so few have actually listened to them as of right now, but I am guessing that these will be extremely similar to the AKG 702 65th Anniversary Edition.

PixelYou can get these and an amp for less than the cost of new 650s.
