bhazard451It's a purely fictional number, just like the MSRP. These Headphones were created for the sole purpose of being sold on Massdrop, and the price was already set to $200 from the very beginning. There was no money saved here...

d3rrialThese are pretty much a re-branding of the k702 anniversary edition, and compared to the going rate for those this drop does save a pretty large amount. Not $450 dollars though. Even the regular k702 is hard to find new at this price.
