To the guy who mentioned the braided cable mod, wow it was super helpful. The cable on the Philips SHP 9500 that dropped recently was long as well. here's how it looks like with the cable braided:

neiru37hey, i'm a newb who just purchased new headphones on massdrop who also lives in the philippines. how do you have your packages sent? do you just pay for the standard shipping fee or do you have it sent to a different address like johnny air or something. some help would be great for a new guy. thanks

DocJumI just have them delivered to my address. For some reason, I don't get taxed when I have them delivered to our house in the province (Laguna) as opposed to our office in Manila. The only thing I pay for is the P100 presentation to customs fee.
So far I've only had 1 item shipped from massdrop, the Philips headset you're seeing in the pic. In as short as 10 days, they were already sitting in the post office. The trick is to regularly check your post office to see if your item is already there because our local post offices are slow in giving out ready-for-pickup notices.

neiru37thank you neiru37. i was afraid that we would have to pay a larger custom fee. you've convinced me to try to have it shipped straight to my home address in manila.
thanks again for the quick reply. the drop for the beyerdynamic dt 880 i ordered just ended so i can still probably edit the delivery address.

DocJumoh dear. based on experience, you'll have a higher chance of getting taxed if your address is in manila. I suggest you find a friend who resides in the province and have your headphones delivered to them to increase your chances of not getting taxed.

neiru37good tip. the drop ended and i could not edit the address anymore. i have a relative coming home from the us next month and i'm having it sent through him. i was just hoping to get the package here sooner. well, this probably wont be the last item i buy on massdrop so we'll see how it goes for the next purchase. still need to upgrade to a tube amp or an amp + dac combo. i'll try the province address next time and i'll tell you how it goes. thanks again, man.
