What rattling? A problem like that would probably be from either a defective unit or something stuck in/on the driver. Maybe someone else can weigh in here.

anyone tried taking off the ear pads to see if anything is on them?
edit, I think it could also be wires hitting the side of the housing or something, to me it seems odd it even rattles cause there really isn't much parts inside the drivers.

It looks like the K702 has had rattle issues as well: http://www.head-fi.org/t/470344/k702-driver-rattle.
And according to the replies in that thread people with K701 have had the issue as well!

Is there rattling in general music and media listening? Or is it through specific frequency tests? P.S, stop making me worry, i was stoked about these headphones!

Wondering about the rattling: Is it a specific batch? Meaning is it in specific serial number range? Or is it random?

Maybe the manual was still in German - wasn't translated in Chinese!!... and those Chinese workers didn't know they had to wear a hair net when putting the K7xx together ;)
edit: my bad... looks like you don't need a hair net:

I ran various tests at different frequencies and high volume didn't detect any rattling, I think it comes down to luck really.
