Do these headphones require a burn in period? If so, any recommendations on that? These are my first true audiophile headphones and I'd like to listen to them at their best.
The answer to that question depends on who you ask it to.
There are some people who believe in breaking in headphones for several hours (I've read people who state they break in their headphones for a few hundred hours...) and many different techniques. And some others who don't believe in break in.
I'm the latter, I don't believe you need to break in headphones and that the "difference" in sound you might experience is just your brain adapting and getting used to the sound of a particular set. Just plug them in to a decent amp and enjoy :)
They'll break in as you use them naturally anyway won't they? Never saw any need to force the issue.
Alright, I'll listen to them as they are, with my dac/amp. Thanks!
