Ok. Got them. 262nd participant, sn 1500. Didn't get to give them a good listen yet, but need to ask about a minor annoyance: The headband fits itself around the head using two rubber bands that wrap around the circular bulge in each side. How much time would you give these bands until they need a replacement because the rubber has lost its elasticity? Anyone have any experience with these? I would expect something more robust.

Maorthey should last a long time, elastic mainly wear down when over extended, from the way those are designed it doesnt over extend the elastic cords.
either way these have a decent warranty so you could get it repaired or replaced of anything happened during that time.

MaorSeems to be the same as my K701s, and they've held up for over 5 years at least. I don't think you need to be worried.

MaorI waited more than 20 years for my K240 studio to break, they never did. Now I have just have more and more headphones in the house. So don't worry. While AKG is not be the most exciting sounding headphones in the world, they sure build them well. 20 years in a recording studio with thousands of people coming through and holding up to use is pretty good.
