After trying to contact massdrop several times after the Drop ended regarding my package i still have not gotten a single peep from them. A friend of mine living in the same city just received his and his status clearly says "Shipped via UPS MI on December 17th, 2014" yet mine says "Group order placed."
what is going on and how the hell is this even happening? could some one responsible for the drop fill me in on what is going on?

chili_norPretty much this: "Unfortunately your order is part of the unlucky orders being delayed a little bit due to the shipping label issue at our warehouse. We are working to get these shipped out as soon as possible. We're hoping to get it out by next week at the latest."
And this was on December 23 so the "next week" being referred to already past. I got tired of waiting for a pair that might even have bass rattle so I just cancelled my order and asked for a refund. I'm not going to risk getting a defective pair because such an issue even exists. The product description even boasts of "matched drivers" but how can the drivers be matched if they weren't properly tested to begin with? I'm no longer going to buy anything without auditioning it first.

baudmThey probably match them using equipment, and without putting them in headphones, since I don't think the human ear is accurate enough to match drivers and I think that swapping them in and out would be too much work from a production standpoint. From what I have seen it looks like the rattling has mostly been reported in the left ear, which could be from something with the cable vibrating. Unless the cable isn't in the left ear on these headphones. I don't have mine yet and don't feel like checking.

SuperBobKingMine is rattling in the right ear.
That said, my rattling is very subtle, compared to some. I hear it only when driven hard in bass heavy music. My normal listening habits don't get them to rattle noticeably. Mostly jazz and classical music.
