I'm considering buying these. I had previously been saving for the Phillips Fidelio X2($300), but I'm wondering if I should just go for these? I already own a FiiO E10K. I am more concerned with the best performance, but if the price to performance of this headphone is that much better, I might go for these. I mainly listen to music and game. All kinds of music, and mostly RPGs, but FPS from time to time. What do you guys think? Worth it to keep saving for the X2, or go ahead and get these now?

I'm comparing the X2 and the K7XX now. I'm letting the K7XX's break in a little before getting serious with the comparison. First impressions on fit and finish, the X2's are a little heavier and clamp my head more. The K7XX's just float. The X2's look like the more expensive 'phones. The K7XX's are physically a little loose and floppy, but the K7 series design has proven to hold up well. On sound, the X2's project an image that feels a little forward of the middle of your head. The K7XX's image is big, wide and more through your head. The X2's hit harder in the bass, but their bass quantity may be obscuring some lower midrange detail - verdict still out. The K7XX's have great bloom on male vocals. Back with more later.

Please keep me updated as I'm really interested and pretty much deciding between these and the X2's. According to Bloodshed Romance's review, the K7XXs are very neutral. I already own the Superlux HD668Bs, and I do love them because they are incredibly neutral, but I still want something more high end for music listening and gaming. The reviews on the X2 are so overwhelmingly positive, and I feel like they might be better as a whole, but with sensory peripherals, it is so hard to judge without firsthand experience, and it still comes down to personal preference.
