Great headphones! These are super easy to drive. The highs are a bit bright, I hope they mellow out after few hours of use. They do keep up with HiFiman HE-500!

drop_RTIf you have them amped well, they should. Mine were a bit piercing in the highs, with kind of tubby bass, right out of the box. I let them play for a couple days really loud, then listened to them again, and they sounded like an AKG K701 and Koss Pro 4AA had a baby :). I'm a bit of an AKG house sound fan, and after my first experience with the long break-in times, I just have new ones play by themselves for awhile, before trying to judge them.
If you have any Pink Floyd or Alan Parsons Project, remastered especially (I know, normally bad, but these are two exceptions to that rule), these cans may as well have been designed just to listen to those albums with. Pigs on the Wing, Hero's Return, Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert, High Hopes, Breakdown, May Be A Price To Pay, Time, etc., almost have the energy they do when listened to from speakers (just missing the bone conducted bass). That's been what has most impressed me so far: sounding fun, yet fairly detailed, without an exaggerated coloring of the material.
