The output on my Apollo 8 Recording interface is 160 mW into 300 ohm load. Is this sufficient for these cans, or do I need something with more power? Thanks!

That should be plenty. The stated impedance rating is off, but not that much off.

I use a Focusrite Saffire LE. I don't know what the headphone specs are on it (Focusrite doesn't publish them for some reason). It powers my Sennheiser HD 598's perfectly, but these seem to be calling for more power. Of course, they are brand new and not broken in at all. Regardless, I'm shopping for a dedicated desktop headphone amp. I think these will be happier once they have a little more power.

TEAC makes some well-engineered gear. They make beautiful desktop amps and a line of mobile headphone amps too. You can find them here on Massdrop every now and then.
