Hi guys! I have one question to ask you all, I would really appreciate an answer.
I'm hesitant between this pair of cans (Akg K7xx) and the AKG K712 pro. I don't mind the orange accents on the latter, quite on the contrary I find them to be quite exotic and adding appeal to the headphones.
Speaking of sound signature, do they differ much? How is the AKG 712 pro in terms of mids, bass and treble compared to the AkG K7XX?
As for the price, I don't mind putting in the difference, as I have found a great deal for the AKG K712 pro (299 €). What do you recommend me? Thank you in advance!!
Hard to say, some say that the K7XX's soun exactly like the K712's, others say they sound different. If the pair of K712's you are skeaking of are made in austria it might be a reason to buy them, but I find nothing that "feels" china to me, just good sound actually. You could also probably get a pair of fidelio X2's for $300 USD if you want a pair for more all around use.
They are made indeed in Austria, and I'm very well tempted to buy them (as I said, I found a really good deal). I've also considered the fidelio X2, but here in Europe they are more expensive than in USA and if we add the cost of headphones+microphone+headphone amp my budget goes out of control :P Thank you anyway for your answer! :)
