I signed up for these a couple days ago. I'm looking for a DAC/Amp that I can use with these at home and take out and use with my phone/tablet. The DACport slim would be nice expect that it draws power from the phone. What are you thoughts on the creative sound blaster e3?

Fiio has some self-powered headphone amps. I wouldn't touch anything made by Creative with a ten-foot pole.

I saw that I missed the boat for the e17k and was a little sad. I only asked about the creative e3 as it is in the bazaar right now. Are there any other companies you would suggest I look in to? Thanks for the help!

If you don't mind paying $20 more, the E17k is also on Amazon

Creative E5 isn't decent enough for the K7XX? DACport slim pairs with it better than the E5? Enlighten me, as I haven't put in the research to know negatives regarding Creative and already grabbed the E5 on the last drop for my daughter (to go with the K7XX)... don't like making mistakes that are intended to be gifts.

Lower power output into low impedance loads, output impedance too high for 16 ohm BA IEMs, buggy and bloated Creative drivers and software, too many unnecessary features for audiophiles (mic, Bluetooth, SBX, etc.), expensive (same price as Schiit Stack).

Should be decent AFAIK.
