A quick word on these now that I've had them for a little while now. I am running them out of an Audio-GD compass, which serves as both my USB DAC and headphone amplifier. I also have a pair of Senn HD650s.
Bottom line: They have a great signature--very punchy--but are a little less revealing than the 650s. I really enjoy listening to EDM and rock through them. For other genres (for example, female vocal, jazz, classical), I prefer the Senns.
I love having them. Whenever I want something livelier to pick me up, I throw them on.

kaxixiKaxixi, are you saying that the 650s are much more accurate than the AKGs? I'm not completely surprised. I think I read hat once before.

NemiBy accurate, do you mean flat frequency response? I am guessing the 650s are flatter, in addition to being more revealing.

kaxixiI am still a noob to headphones in general but I guess I just wanted to clarify what you meant by "revealing". Just wondering if that means you hear more detail in the music or what exactly. Thanks for your time.
