If anyone has trouble with bass response on these, I did find that the bass was pretty thin out of the box but it opened up a lot (about 6-9dB) after a couple weeks of normal use.
These are great headphones, probably some of the best open backs you can get for the price. I've had them about 10 months now and they're holding up well. I put on beyerdynamic EDT770 velour pads and an aftermarket 1.5m cable and I use them every day. They do benefit from an amp when used with mobile devices, they can sometimes sound a bit congested on busy tracks without it. I use the Topping NX2 when I use these with my iDevices. My 2009 MacBook Pro seems to handle them well enough without an amp though.

TempuraSwindlerCan I get a link to that aftermarket cable? It looks amazing! I think I bought these headphones in the same drop as you.

JackWeissI like that cable a too, and that it's only 5 ft long.

I didn't notice any differences in sound quality with this cable. The outer jacket feels a bit tacky when right out of the box, but with a little use it smooths out. It does a pretty good job resisting tangling on account of its thickness and length.
TempuraSwindlerWas the pad swap easy?
BeerCanChickenTook me about half an hour though I'm sure it gets easier with practice (it was my second swap of this style of pad ever). The key is stretching out the pads in order to stretch the vinyl lip that holds the pads to the earcups, and then after you get them on the earcups the vinyl lip will contract and the pads will be on there securely.
TempuraSwindlerCool, they look good.
