So... anyone know where I can buy a replacement cable for one of these things, something that's a lot shorter than the whopping 20ft/30ft cables it already comes with?
The cable is a Mini-XLR female to 1/4" male. Those don't appear to be too common. I haven't looked around much yet though so I will keep looking.
And I apologize if this has already been answered somewhere in the huge comment thread.

DankkThe cord is hilariously long. Once people start getting them keep a twisty tie around because you'll want it unless you like having 30ft of cord kicking around your feet. As for finding a new cord, I google'd "Mini-XLR female to 1/4" male" exactly and got this: http://www.amazon.com/CablesOnline-Mini-XLR-Female-Stereo-XM-710/dp/B00ES5JNV0

DankkFleabay is your best bet. They run anywhere from $12 to a braided basic to $80+ for fancier cable.
Something like this is something I'll eventually grab: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-5m-New-Replacement-Audio-upgrade-Cable-For-AKG-Q701-K702-K271s-240s-Headphones-/310698989813?pt=US_Audio_Cables_Adapters&hash=item48571a58f5

thebrassthiefYeah, I saw that particular cable. It's certainly an improvement, but it seems a little pricy for what it is, and 10ft is still way too long. Ideally I'd want something with half that length... 6ft tops.

PsychetronThanks for the link, that's definitely more along the lines of what I want. 1.5m is a good length... that's about ~5 feet. I like the braided cable too. Unless I see a better offer, I'll likely pick this one up.
