Big chair.
The seat was comfortable for awhile but not for long periods of time. The arm rests were great in terms of articulation but the lumbar pillow and headrest hurt.

Very comfortable seat for a day of working or gaming. The included headrest cushion sit a little high for me, but is overall not bad. The rest of the chair is durable and the level of adjustment is good.

Chair is great, accessories and armrest not so much
I bought the $400 Onyx Deluxe because I was searching for a nice leather chair with good back support and cushion. A small part of me wanted a "gaming" chair. This checked most of my requirements so I bought one.
Setting it up was quite simple. I was able to do it by myself without too much trouble. The seat has a lot of cushion and after a year, it's still great. The leather is still perfect.
And that's where the good things end. The wheel base is tiny and right underneath the chair itself. If you sit forward a little bit, the chair will tip over. The lumbar support is a loose pillow that you can place behind your back but nothing holds it in place. The neck rest isn't a neck rest. It sits too far high on the chair and only serves to force your head forward. On top of that, due to the structure of the chair, the elastic bands on the head rest only serve to slowly loosen it from it's position. I've more or less discarded the two items as they're pretty much useless. The armrest is this terrible plastic material that cracks and breaks down after a while. I pretty much need a cover for the armrest because it's annoying me with how much issues there are with the armrest.
At the end of the day, the Onyx is an office chair with a slight resemblance to a gaming chair. Buy it to sit your butt down on something comfortable, not to be in a racing chair with lumbar support or neck rests and racing stripes.
This would be 5 stars if not for the shoddy armrests. Knocking two stars off for that. Regardless, I would still recommend this chair.

Very Impressed
I have had the chair for almost 2 years and I can honestly say it's the best chair I have ever owned. Almost no notice of use and I use the chair for over 8 hours a day for 2 years between work and gaming. I will def buy another one when they go on sale again and I highly recommend it! Their support is outstanding as well. They had sent me a replacement base because the piston dropped too low in the base and was dragging on the carpet. Nothing is perfect but this is proof that they stand behind their products! A+

Decent enough for the price but not exceptionally sturdy.
I bought this chair for my 13 year old son for his Xbox sessions. He's never been unusually rough with it but the chair had some noticeable fraying in the fabric after only a year. Further use led to exposure of the padding and the little metal wires in the padding that help the padding hold its shape. While the mechanical components are sound enough that they never broke, I'm not sure the fabric is up to the task of using the chair as a daily driver. Perhaps their pleather material is sturdier.

Is well made. lots of adjustments.
The black color does show dirt easily. The armrests are a bit too easy to move, making it easy to knock out of position. it is comfortable to sit in for long periods (2-4 hours).

My first real desk chair
I spend a lot of time at my desk, this chair has been a much better addition and replacement to the old hand me down chairs I’d been using. Wasn’t that hard to assemble I love the design and how easy it is to adjust. It’s comfortable but the lumbar pillow has taken time to get used to. The chair I got was the onyx the height adjust is still going stroke havnt noticed any degradation

Nice Chair
The chair is great. It is good material and steady and well put together. It's a touch hard, though, and the lumbar support has to be constantly pulled upward to stay in position. If you are very short, the chair may be a bit big; I am 5'8" and have to have it all the way down or I am off the floor.
